Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Charity's upbringing of horsemanship and singing gospel-country with her family seems a far cry from her current lifestyle. Now modelling with John Casablancas International, she hopes to be a role model for other girls and young women. "Every girl is a model, and every model is a girl-both beautiful; both special."
Growing up, Charity admits to feeling intimidated by fashion. "I used to match my sock colour with my shirt colour and think that was style," she confesses. Exposure to the industry changed this drastically. Now she prefers to take classic looks and combine them with unique and distinct pieces, all without sacrificing comfort. Her favourite designers include Alber Elbaz for Lanvin, Frida Giannini for Gucci and Jeff Garner for Prophetik.
Despite modelling internationally in cities such as Taipei, Charity has remained humble. "It's a blessing to be a part of an industry that thrives on the vision and talent of such creative individuals. To be able to support local teams, designers and upcoming visionaries is a gift I cherish when I'm home in Vancouver." She enjoys the challenges modelling presents to her and admires the amount of work and vision that goes into a single print.
What's next for this rising star? Her philosophy says it best: "The sky's the limit." For bookings or to view her agency portfolio go to http://www.jcvancouver.com.
